 Description  « Hide
Up untill now I could not pin point a pattern. I would crash directly to desktop after touching any scuplty. Tonight I was trying to texture one.
1. took the scuplty out of inventory.
2. Selected a texture from a K.R. Engineering HUD Texture Master v3.3
clicked retrieve and ok. 3 moment i hit ok i am at desk top. I did this several times to besure each time, I crashed to desk top.
3. I tested to make sure it was that pattern by retrieveing a texture and hit ok got the texure upload nothing happened. I did this twice.
4. I repeated step 2 and crashed to desk top.
I have also on occasion simple opened inventoy, Local chat or something else and crashed but that doesnt have as instantanously as after contact with a sculpty in my inventory. I have no problems with shoes, or clothes sculpties ( that I know of)
Could you please tell me what to do to correct this? I cannot build.

Sounds very like VWR-8194 to me. Can you do a some vicious prim bending for me,

Rez a large Clinder, hollow it out, then really ramp up and down all the twists and tapers as far as they will go and see if this causes the same crash.

Hey, they're going to need to know at least what version viewer you're seeing this on. Better paste all of the "About..." text from your viewer.

No doubt a JIRA cop will be along shortly and "resolve" this as "needs info", and they're right according to the guidelines, but srlsy dude, just tell us what version you're on.

I want to also add that just touching the scuplties now and then any other function, Accepting notecareds, color picker, and deleteing also casues crash to desk top

Robin; I did as you requested I did not crash. Scratch that. As I was typing below I needed to check the name of the creator and when I went back to SL screen I clicked off the color picker and I was then logged out of SL. The message said to check my internet. Its fine im still on this window.

Also I have discovered not only can I wear sculpties and touch them with out crashing, but I can touch and work with ones created by Cel Edmen at Pixel Labs.

Our QA team has investigated that several times on the new 1.22 viewer and cannot reproduce that crash. I need to close this original report as Cannot Reproduce. It is being closed internally as Cannot Reproduce.

Please try the latest RC Viewer which can be downloaded from here Release Candidate Test Viewers

Please reopen [left sidebar] if you still have this issue.

Thank you : )

This is the whole crash logger I have. I sent the whole thing since i have no idea how to read it and know what you need and dont.

Ella I am using the viewer you wanted me to down load before this happened as it says above. I have current directx and drivers. I am currently able to use Kristens jan 16th viewer and sculpties do not crash me. Closing a issue because you cannot replicate isnt resloving it. You have different equipment then I do obviuosly. That doesnt make it resolved it gives you more info ( sorry if that sounds rude) I am not a techie and some of the way these comments that were made are very frustrating.

Nyna, using the latest RC Viewer 1.22.9 if you still have this issue, please close Second Life and before you restart , please attach your latest SecondLife log and CrashReport to this issue. This Knowledge Base article will tell you Where do I find my Second Life diagnostic logs?

Thank you : )
