In order to reflect the severity of the issue, these should be attached to one of the known inventory loss bugs relating to non-copyable attached content rather than simply being closed as "inventory loss - contact support".

When you tried all steps, and nothing works; than you have to contact support. When they do restore items from inventory loss, you should find them again in your lost & found folder.
However, your report on this Public Issue Tracker will not restore your inventory items. First check the suggestions on:

If you are a basic member:
Choose the "Submit a Ticket" option
At the bottom of "Tickets for Basic and Guest Accounts", click the "Click here to submit a ticket" link
Use a ticket type of "Special Questions - Basic account or Guest Login" / "There was an item in my inventory window, but it isn't working or is missing"
If you are a premium member, you should have more options on the support page, including
Submit a ticket ("Technical Issue" / "I've logged in, but there is a problem" / "Inventory")
