 Description  « Hide
My previous video card was a Sapphire Radeon 9550 256MB 128-Bit AGP 4X/8X. The reason for the upgrade was I couldn't render sculpties using the 9550 card. I have had NewEgg replace the card 2 times and so far I continuously crash upon log in. I have to goto a height of 1024m or more to avoid anything to render, this way I can stay in world for as long as I like. I can log in and have just enuf time to fly up or the computer will freeze (though I still have use of the mouse, it does not work clicking anything) then it will shutdown. Upon getting back into windows I will have to reset my color quality from 16 to 32 and sometimes have to reinstall the video card driver.
I also play Call of Duty 4 Online Multiplayer and Fable:TLC. I have no problems from these games using the same video card. I have swapped out the 3650 and 9550 to make sure it is indeed the graphics card and not something else causing the problem.

Still having the same problem. I update, uninstall/reinstall, drivers, catalyst, SL, fresh windows install. Have sent card in for a replacement. upgraded to vista. Since I can play halflife2, call of duty2-5, fable tlc, far cry. I can only assume the problem is on Linden's end not mine. Secondlife is the only program that crashes my computer. When I had a radeon 9550 the only problem was it wouldnt render all sculpties......now with my radeon 3650 i can render anything and everything except running sl fopr longer than 30 mins. Maybe I would go premium again if linden labs would actually fix problems instead of just assuming they will fix themselves.
