I have been advised by support staff to file this here as a bug so here goes...

When I am logged in, some of my friends see my name in the contact list as blank, as well as my name in my profile.

Deleting from friend list, deleting a calling card and readding into friends list does not seem to help.

1.21.6 or 1.21.5 RC viewer does not make a difference.

Clearing a cache and logging to different region did not seem to help. On the other hand, the issue has only been seen on avis that spend most of the time in the region I am estate manager at (Slovakia), so the issue MIGHT be region connected. There is no confirmed occurance of my friend in other region having problems with seeing my name in their contact list.

Steps to reproduce:
Add my avatar as a friend
Confirm the name in the contact list blank.

In the cases it was so, that both our avis (my friends and mine) has been at our region.

Hi Alexus,

Can you please provide us with your full computer environment by going to Help/About Second Life and copying/pasting the information here. This will allow us to better understand your issue. Also, how are you connected to the internet? Wired or wireless?

I am connected through a wireless connection attached to a DSL router in my home. I am not in the same region as the person who posted this but I am having the same problem. It is not my name though, it is other names on my contact list. They are not there and their name on their profile is gone. It shows my partner's name is missing as well.

I started having problems at 16:04 SLT Sunday. I noticed that no name at all appeared in the properties of an object I'd just made. Friends say I show up as a nameless icon in their list, and when I log in, there is a blank where my name should be in the friend log in alert.

Nothing around me gives me an owner or creator name.

I've cleared my cache, I've relogged, run my antivirus/ad stuff.

Confirming huge problems with missing AV names at various avatars in my friend lists since Sunday.

Also see ~~SVC-3531~~ which might be related (object owner is not passed in llHTTRequest communication at some sims).

mY avatar name does not show in friend's frienlists and also not when using search. I see a lot of people reporting this. It seems to be still a growing problem, all my creations in my shop also do nortt show the creators name anymore. This is a very big problem since it will be a problem for people to find out where to purchase any good screated by me!!!
