Friend A sent a private IM to friend B who was in a different sim, and continued to talk. All the people in the same area as B could hear A's side of the conversation in main chat; in addition, A could hear their chat in her own (private) IM window with B. B's IM window was not affected. One bystander sent an IM to A in response to the confusion, and this IM turned up in my IM window as though that person had IM'ed me directly - in fact they had never heard of me and had not contacted me, but I was with A at the time.

I don't wish to post details here in public but I have obtained chat/IM transcripts, names and locations which we are willing to provide, and both myself, A and B would be more than willing to discuss this further with any investigating Linden. Such a bug is of grave concern, since the content of IM should not in any circumstance be broadcast to those not participating.

Comment [ Happened to me two weeks ago. I was having an intimate conversation that got broadcasted to people and clubs I didn't even know. Totally killed my professional and personal life in sl because it was thought I did it on purpose and I had to start over from scratch. Lost a lot of rl money and friends over this bug and i'm not happy about it. ]

Comment [ Once again this has happened. I'm seriously getting sick of the privacy issues here! This time it was in my club group chat and not in private im with my ex wife as stated above a few months ago in october.
