 Description  « Hide
The problem occurs when taking a snapshot up to the current screen size using any method (i.e. keyboard shortcut, or menu).

When snapshot is taken, SL hangs with spinning "beachball" for up to a minute before offering a dialog box asking where to save the snapshot. Once this is selected, the snapshot saves and activity is restored.

On subsequent snapshots the same hang is observed even though no dialog is offered, the picture eventually saves to hard disk.

The same hardware running SL under Vista presents no such problems, allowing snaps of 5000 x 3000 and more without issue.

Incidentally, these higher-than-screen -size resolution shots under OS X cause a permanent freeze in Second Life as I believe is documented elsewhere in the JIRA.

This is a major bug for those of us who take a lot of pictures in world.

This is a sample of the process... during the snapshot hang, it looks like a timed wait...
