 Description  « Hide
Disabling sky rendering (Advanced->Rendering->Types->Sky) causes a dramatic improvement in performance. For there to be such a large improvement in performance for disabling something so minor tells me that the sky rendering system is not efficiently designed, and needs to be improved. Second Life tortures my graphics card (a Radeon HD 3870) enough, so I will leave sky rendering disabled to ease the burden on it.

I just want to add that having sky rendering disabled while Atmospheric Shaders are enabled has better performance compared to having Atmospheric Shaders disabled.
