 Description  « Hide
I can Crash both release and standard viewers every time i try to change the color of certain prims in the texture tab, basicly at present I can not even select them prims with out the viewer crashing.

The notecard crashes are more random but happen most when i accept one sent to me, upon relogging i find the notecard has been accepted and stored in inventory and if opened after sometimes crash again.

When trying to bring up somebodys profile has also crashed me a few time the last few days and also when pressing the communicate button.

Every time the viewer crashes its always with the application error box with

The instruction at "0x696b3e09" referenced memory at "0x00000004".The memory could not be read

All these crashes have happened at my sim at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Kon%20Tiki%20Eastern/207/178/22 and not tested to see if it happens elsewhere

Its still the same as before Even after a clean Xp Sp2 install, all thats on my system now is firefox, anitvirus( esetnod32), adaware and Photoshop cs2. So that rules out any other app conficting, Basicly i can't do anything.

Open a profile - crash
Open a notecard - crash
Click on a texture from inventary - crash
Recieve a IM, on opening the communicate window - crash
Recieve a notecard, on accepting and the notecard opens on screen - crash
Try to edit a scripted object - crash
Close a IM window( if i manged to open it with out crashing) - crash
Edit window open on the texture tab. click the texture pallet - crash
Edit window open on the texture tab. click the colour pallet - crash
Right click a notecard to bring up properties, hit the profile button - crash

There more but the above are the main ones

As before all sound and graffix card drivers are upto date, windows sp3 installed and upto date.

My partners machine is almost exactly the same as mine, same motherboard, cpu and sound card but has a 7600GT and that runs fine with very few crashes, To me it seems SL does not like my 8800GT

With the purchase of my sim last month and not being able to build with out crashing every 5 minutes makes it kind of a waste of time paying tier for it.

I've added a new crash log so you can look it over

Update.

It seems that if i set my draw distance under 200m and keep the anisotropic filtering turned off the client performs much better, so far with draw distance set to 192 instead of the 256 i was using before all the above has now stopped. so i can only think that it is to do with memory in some way. hope this helps. but finally i can get some work done.
