1. Second Life Viewer - VWR

I crash repeatedly due to nvlddmkm driver. It ceases to function, and repairs itself. This happens every hour or so. It did it ocassionally with the old viewer, but incessantly with the latest. It`s driving me bananas!

What driver version are you using? And have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling, or downgrading?

I wonder if it's possibly related to VWR-9045, too?

Can you attach a copy of your SecondLife.log after you crash, but before you log back in?

Uhm.. driver version. Wish I could tell you, if it's not in the 'environment' info above, I wouldn't know where to find out.

As for the log, I can certainly try.. unfortunately I didn't get a chance to last night, and the crashing was ridiculously bad, UNTIL:

and

http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/disable-aero-on-windows-vista/

Apparently the issue is all about vista, and affects lots of 3D games. Turning off Aero seems to work at present, but I would suggest this is a bandaid solution, not a real one, and I doubt it would work for everybody, but hopefully this advice helps someone like it seems to have helped me!

If I do crash again due to the nvlddmkm, I'll post the crash log, thanks McCabe
