For the love of all Lindens, including the breathing kind... please please please fix this issue. And keep it from ever returning ever again.
I'm seeing this on 1.18.3 (5) myself, so I don't think the viewer rev matters.
Indeed. Highly annoying, Scripters of Secondlife is nearly unusable again:
[13:08] Zangetsu Oe: If each one has a touch script and they are linked. This message has been brought to you by for what its worth, it effects version 1.18.3(5) as well.
I just upgraded from 1.18.3 (5) to te new viewer 1.18.4(3) to some other bug and have not seen this annoying bug for a long time.
Also the abilaty to mute a groupchat for a periode of time or by checkbox is still a hot item. Tali Rosca: Those may be unassigned, they are imported, which matters more.
It would also be nice to tie in a new UI feature, although I haven't done much checking to see if any already exist.
Tyken Hightower: Please make a Pjira Feature request
This Pjira is a bug and anything outside of the specific issue should not be posted here as it will be not get the visibility you are looking for. Thanks! Tyken, hit the little chevron and you'll get what you want.
Oh dear GOD, not again! PLEASE fix this without further breaking it to the point of having the window pop back open every time someone says something in the group. Last time, these two issues combined almost KILLED group chats completely.
The return of this horrible 'feature' is killing me with spam and making many of my groups unusable. Try participating in a group with over 1,000 members! Please fix this.
Ahhhhh the return of the great useless Group IM. It was working so well too, aside from the lag! However....AT LEAST WE CAN CLOSE OUR GROUP IM SESSION! knocks on wood
PLEASE stop messing with the group IMs! housekeeping and linkage...
just tying the bits together...
This is not a client issue; I'm still using 1.8.3(5) and I've been getting this on all of my groups today.
I could really do without the 'has left this session' message, for a number of reasons.
Yes, for the love of... Stomp this horrible regression FAST.
Also yes this is NOT a "VWR" bug, probably "SVR". I am seeing it on an older browser. Do the right thing and stomp regressions FIRST and FAST. I agree up to a 200% with all who want get rid of these messages...
75% of my IM-ftraffic is "XXXX has left this session".. Annoying, well that word is an understatement... I noticed this one was back last night and also haven't changed viewer.
Either way I'll vote on both VWR and SVR issues to get his horrid thing sorted again soon. If you're a member of a large and active group, it makes life a misery. Issue is seen with open source as well as released clients; appears to be server-side; ergo bug SVC-929 is the one to track.
Moved to SVC, we know this is a hot issue and we've raised priority on it internally too. Thanks for all your votes and comments in such a short period of time – I hope we can fix it soon!
Hello, is anyone still seeing this? Seraph Linden had a look and didn't see it – I'm trying to verify if it's still a problem right now. Please comment if you do or don't... thanks!
Looks fixed to me. Thanks, Torley!
Yeah, I can't find any examples of this happening today. Seraph Linden, our dev who jumped on this quickly, noticed (in case you're interested in the behind-the-scenes findings): "This was broken in maintenance-3 but not in branch_1-18-5-server. This behavior currently works correctly on agni. " Agni being the live Second Life "grid".
It does look fixed to me. Many thanks Torely for communicating with us, and Seraph and anyone else who helped fix it

Funnily enough, I used the 1.18.4 RC viewer right up until it became the official one yesterday, and never saw these messages even once. Please...make it stop. ASAP.
