Linden Lab Issue ID: DEV-445

 Description  « Hide
Teleport to a simulator bordering a Havok 1 sim. Walk/fly/whatever into the Havok 1 sim from the Havok 4 sim. Your avatar will now have a few things that will persist until relog:

1. If you are wearing an Animation Override, especially a tiny AO, it will stop working. You will be stuck on the last animation it was playing.
2. Attempts to attach/deattach things will fail or worse. New attachments will fail to detach old ones, and will not actually attach to your avatar but act like rezzed in-world prims.
3. These "issues" persist until logout.

This only happens when going Havok 4 to Havok 1, not the other way around. Teleportation is safe to any sim version from any sim version.

Upping priority to critical... This bug needs to be squashed fast, because it can affect a lot of people.

I'm assuming this issue has been repro'd by other users?

I reported this as VWR-2604, it appears to be a script shutdown or scripted object issue. This also shuts down HUD displays.

Fixed internally with a caveat: I found the following bug which happens on all region crossing (not just between versions).

1. Attach pop gun (from library)
2. Cross a region boundary

  • Expected: The 'holding the gun' animation continues
  • Seen: The animation stops.

I'll be looking into this today. I mention it because some of the other issues linked to this issue or that appear to be what I fixed may be this other issue.

This is still happening, SVC-1517 gives far more details and a reproducable case to test with.

SVC-1517 may be the same issue or not, but we do not need to track 2 issues for the same bug.
