I'm marking this as related to SVC-70 as well. Both of these bugs illustrate that SL content operations are not transactional in nature. If some member of the chain drops a content request, this can result in permanent content loss. I know that solving these problems will likely be a step backward in terms of scalability, but these issues are critically important. People lose content every day.
