 Description  « Hide
Currently, when animations are run they are relative to a fixed position set by llSitTarget. Combined with the large variation in AV sizes, most AVs will end up with a very unrealistic hovering or interpenetrating the object they are sitting on.

Please enable it so that the SitTarget can be adjusted after an AV has sat on the object. Work arounds currently include having an AV touch the object before they sit or providing many variations on the same animations with slightly different offsets, both of which are a barrier to creating quality content in SL.

This addition will provide a significantly improved user experience with what should be a fairly straight forward change.

Indirectly related, but are meant to solve similar problems.

I could be wrong but this may not be possible since the sit target becomes a prim property. But you can move and rotate avatars using llSetLinkPrimitiveParams since the avatar is just a link in the linkset.

Nothing, WarKirby... I tried. I really wanted to color my av blue.

Sometimes, they talk about puppeteering. This could be a simple minded example. i am thinking of a set of controls sort of like the camera controls. Once you are sitting, you can add a personal adjustment up/down/left/right/front/back. All users would be able to do this whenever they want.

the values could even be sticky. If an AV chooses to sit a little to the front, the next time it would still sit a little to the front (on the same or different object).
