 Description  « Hide
Customer bought an object - Money was received but the customer didn't get the object. Instead she got the message:
(Saturday 09/15) "[11:55] Asset server didn't respond in a timely fashion. Object returned to sim. "

Customer told me she was using actual SL Viewer Client and WLAN connection (bad thing actually)!

I consider this anyway a very serious issue because it makes buying things unreliable.
I had this only on rare occasions message before only when trying to "take" or "delete" things and things wokred out because they really returned to the sim. In this case the copy the customer bought was lost.

This issue is not resolved. It just happened to me a half hour ago. Transaction history shows money taken but items not received, received same message(retured to asset server) instead. Store not laggy or crowded.

Please see this article in Knowledge Base Inventory: Complete recovery steps and information about perceived loss

If this is still an issue please post a Ticket with Support for account-specific help http://secondlife.com/support/

I appear to be missing inventory that I know should be there. What do I do?

Ticket Types

Still happening with 1.30 (1.30.2.135876) - (more than once)
Customer tried to take an object. Message: "Asset server didn't respond in a timely fashion. Object returned to sim."
Result: Object not on sim and not in inventory (also not as coalesced object or anywhere in lost+found)
Cache clear and also Simulator restart have not brought it back.
Tickets to support have been filed - except for this actual case nothing but a copy/link to the standard inventory recovery page.
