Compile a script in an object. Wait an indeterminate amount of time. Open objects inventory. Double-click script to open in editor.
A message is received "Script is missing from Database".
The script is still running however. Any interaction with the object proves this to be true. This leads me to believe that the byte-code is still located somwhere in the asset servers and in fact, does exist.
I've opened up a trouble ticket in the past for this issue: 4051-4213851
https://support.secondlife.com/ics/support/ticketview.asp?ticket_id=4213851
The ticket states that the problem was solved, but in fact - it wasn't. I now have the same problem with another object from my inventory that had a lot more logic that I would like to have access to. These are scripts that I created myself, so there are no permission issues.

Ticket Description
Summary: Script is missing from database
Ticket Type: Technical Issue
Technical issue: I've logged in, but there is a problem
Inworld Issue: Inventory
Are there multiple monitors?: 1
Details: I have an object that I created a while ago. When I rez the object today (Asset UUID is 9e4bf86d-dbb1-74da-1645-d634d797c938), I try to open a script inside that I also created called Keyboard.ColorChange.lsl (Asset UUID is 4e6a08a9-ac06-8c8f-08c3-5896097f6eab)
I get the message "Script is missing from database". Any interaction with the object still works. I touch it and it changes its color. (Only does this for the owner). When I wear it, I can chat and it appears over my head, and then disappears when I am no longer typing. This leads me to believe that the script really is in the database, otherwise - how would it be possible to do this?
If you would like to take a look, the object is currently in Woodbridge at

I am more interested in getting at the source code again to make some fixes.

Solution
Solved:
(7/31/2007 3:01 PM PDT) Hi Dedric,
I'm sorry but I don't believe that there is any way we can recover this script. I have only one more suggestion, and it is a long shot, but worth a try:
1. Download the latest beta viewer.
2. Log in to the beta grid
3. Be certain NOT to rez anything, drop anything, pick anything up
4. Go to your object's location
5. Right click on it and choose "Open"
6. Double click on your script to open it, then select all and copy
Again, this is a long shot but worth a try.
Hope it works for you.
Best Regards
Leo
