 Description  « Hide
I Bought for Group a 3584m2 plot at Pavonia 92,246,129 at 13:44 GMT+1 on 4th September 2007. I suspect was also set as Objects Not Included in Sale, because 8 out of 98 objects were kept in the owner's possession and have been returned to him. The other 90 objects were deeded to the group and so cannot now be manually returned to the seller.

On second thoughts raised from Normal to Major, as it has possible financial implications (for Residents, not LL).

You're saying that your group owns the land, but you can't return objects on it that are deeded to some other group? Are you an officer in the group, and/or do you have the group ability to return objects?

This may be related to SVC-369, meaning that I am now unsure if the house in the picture was wrongly deeded or that parts of unlinked and they were wrongly not sold with land. Nonetheless, the first bit holds that I had to return objects manually on land that was definitely For Sale Without Objects.

I think I'll have to create sub-tasks as these issues may or mat not be related.

No Lex, 8 out of 98 objects remained in the ownership of the seller (this may be expected behaviour, SL is down so I can't check), but 90 objects were deeded to the group. There are one of two things going wrong here.

1. If the Land was sold with objects then 8 out of 98 prims did not have the ownership properly transferred
2. If land was sold without objects then 90 out of 98 prims erroneously had ownership transferred

The "real owner" is the seller if the land was sold without objects, it cannot be returned to him as only by him buying it can he be reset as the owner. There is no way on SL to sell anything other than land to a specific Resident.

The seller got back straight away to say he would rather we returned the house to his inventory than asked him to fetch it. He has not replied to the IM about only 8 out of 98 objects being returnable. We can delete everything on the plot, which is no problem if the seller meant to sell the house, but is problematic if he wanted the house to not be sold with the land.

If the "owner" of the house gets back to me to say the land was sold With Objects Included, then I will transfer this information to SVC-369, and close this as a duplicate. I will then raise the sub-task to being a bug. If a Linden determines that this is the intended feature then I will appeal that decision. If I sell land without objects I want to guarantee that I get them back.

Mercia, I'm changing all the "fixed internally" bugs that don't have a fix pending in the pipeline to other resolutions so that we can get accurate stats on just how far behind linden lab is with fixed internally bugs that actually have pending fixes.

I had clicked on the wrong resolution this was never fixed internally, more misfiled than anything else. Although I note that anything put down as misfiled appears as a link from the Wiki as examples of what not to file, when Misfiled is often used in the absence of any more sensible resolution category.
