Everytime when trying to teleport to another sim the progressbar screen shows up and the text above it says "Connecting to region" the progressbar moves slowly forward and after a little while SL Crashes. When relogging Avatar mostly starts at the new location where the teleport was supposed to take you. Same thing occurs if someone offers me a teleport and I accept it.

Just letting you know that I'm having the exact same issue as you. I'm unable to teleport, even when someone sends me a link. The TP progress bar shows up, all appears to be working fine... then I get logged out.

I too have this issue. unable to tp to anywhere since yesterday. Go to my last login location, which was my house and can not tp anywhere else.

There is another SVC open for this reason.... SVC-972
I have a MAC powerPC

I have 3 weeks with this problem... the new verison did not help at all.
I opened the same TCP and UDP port and nothing change....

if you walk, fly or TP between regions, this error occur. The viewer is logged out. The only TP you can do is within the same region.

I hope Linden labs rise the priority on these cases... Seems to be a lot of people with this problem.

Also cannot transfer files...ie snapshots, refuses to log out...just hangs although have the latest candidate version and that will log off but still no tp.
Moved my report to here because SVC-972 is getting mixed reports, some are only experiencing occasional tp loss.

I am having this very issue - I cannot get off Orientation Island & over to Help Island .... Everytime I try, It shows the "connecting to region" then shuts me out. when I log back in, I am back at the last place on orientation island.. I have Apple MacBook Pro MAC OS 10(latest version & service pack). Will it be long before we can continue????

Hi - Anjelee Dreamscape again..... I have uninstalled / reinstalled Second Life to try & fix this TP problem - still cant teleport anywhere. Logs me out. The message states that if I hit "continue" i'll be able to text etc only.... otherwise "quit"... ie when TPing- the progress gets to about a third of the bar & then error message occurs & everything goes grey. The only way I can get around is by quitting, re-opening & typing in the location on logon screen. I also frequently clear the cache (via preferences/netwk) to ensure a clean login.... PLEEEEZE help. this is very frustrating... thx Anjele
P.S. note - am using Apple MacBookPro with every bell & whistle & huge internet pipe - so I know the equipment here is not the prob.....

Getting this as well and multiple reports of it from my community.

Today I tested it and Teleported off my island to the mainland while watching sim stats from another account.

My avatar did leave and my agent count went down by 1 person as my avatar left, the teleport progress screen did not even reach connecting to region it simply hung while attempting to even do that. Within 60 seconds my connection was timed out and I was disconnected from the world.

There appears to be about a 50% failure rate on teleports, though that may be innaccurate but it appears about 1 out of 2 teleports will fail in this fashion.

Been experiencing this problem for weeks. It doesn't seem region-specific. Just half the time teleports will just take over 30 seconds, and then "DING" viewer disconnects, and usually crashes in the process from the disconnect happening. (Not disconnecting because it's crashing!)

Haven't yet noticed any consistent way to reproduce other than staying logged in a few hours and then teleporting. Sometimes it disconnects, sometimes it doesn't. Almost 50/50.

i have been in many regions and this happens
i teleport and i get disconnected after long lag in tp
then when i reboot i am in the original spot and as soon as i tp it is fine once again

I'm running a Dual Core G5 Power Mac with Tiger OS and a G4 Powerbook with Leopard OS. Both computers used to run SL just fine with only the normal, although annoying, SL lag.

My hardware/software has not changed...so I know this issue is server side and has to do with changes that Linden Labs made to the newest software releases of SL. I am currently running SL version 1.18.5.3.

Now on both computers I can no longer TP anywhere without getting logged off as all of you have described already.

This is extremely frustrating! I actually downgraded my account from Premium paid to Basic Free. No sense paying for a game I can't play.

I can no longer even use the forums, but that's a different problem altogether. And I can't get help from support anymore since I downgraded my account to Basic.

I certainly hope this gets straightened out though. I do miss my Second Life!

Attached a snapshot of what I see when it happens. If there's one consistency I've noticed personally, it's that the "Requesting teleport..." message never appears. Just the loading bar appears and the screen turns black, but there's no status messages. Clicking cancel results in being stuck in limbo – can't move, effectively disconnected but the viewer doesn't realise it. Otherwise, DING – disconnect (followed by the usual VWR-4087 viewer hang for me)

Closing as this is a duplicate of SVC-972

As of 1.19.0 (79185) Windlight, the system will still log me out during teleports. It does not happen constantly, but usually about 1-2 out of ten.
