this is a suggestion because im sure you dont have this idea. I would like to know if it would be possible to create and put in your system for running second life. that you could be able to group your friends in sub-catagories like Yim or AIM. within your friendlist it could be scroll down or tab, on the different groups. example:

whiro ansome friends:

close friends:
this one
that one
and maybe this one

clients:
oh yes
best one
eh this ones ok

friends from this club:
me
myself
and
I

offline:
so
many
people
in
this
row
.
.
.

i would like this very much, so the person can add as many tab/groups as they like within their friends list.

here is another examples :

the "buddies" "family" "co-worker" ect but instead of it custom made the person has to add them in.

It just makes it easier for someone like me who tends to forget things to keep organized and keep track of some of their friends.

maybe able to place "calling card" or land marks within folders that are able to be shown within your friends list on how they are grouped.

Whiro, this New Feature has been requested on issue VWR-890 "Add ability to sort Friends list into different categories" Please add your comments and vote on VWR-890

In your Inventory, you can group together your Calling Cards into different sub-Folders, see this Knowledge Base article How do I Instant Message (IM) a group of people at once?

You can create a Calling Cards folder for arbitrary groups of your friends:

1. Create a new folder in the Calling Cards folder in your inventory, and give it a name that means something to you and tells you who/what the group is (such as "Best Friends" or "Project H.I.P.P.O. Members").
2. Place the calling cards of the desired Residents in your new folder. You can right-click a calling card and select Copy, then right-click the folder and select Paste, to copy a card instead of moving it. This lets you put the same person in multiple folders.

Thank you : )
