 Description  « Hide
For all 7 avatars and 2 regions (none of them were upgraded to 1.27 server) I have severe problems with avatar appearance which happen pretty much every time I log in.
Most of the times the avatar appears as a white cloud, sometimes only parts of it are rendered correctly, often I receive a message "Can't find a body part in the database", sometimes the textures are loaded incorrectly (i.e. pink squares all over the avatars body).

I tried the following:
1. Cleaning the cache
2. Replacing the outfit
3. Changing regions and editing appearance there

In some cases some of the above operations help, but often nothing helps at all.

I haven't changed the client either (for at least 2 weeks), so seems like it's a database related issue
Also tried rebaking the textures.... never helps

Shaqq, please see this article in Knowledge Base Why do I look like a particle cloud? (Formerly known as: I've suddenly and unexpectedly turned into an ugly woman.)

Tip: If you have tried all of the above, and your avatar is still a cloud, submit a ticket to our Support team for assistance http://secondlife.com/support/

Please also see these articles How can I improve performance ? How do I check for packet loss (network lag)? and this article for suggestions for Turning off WindLight rendering

Make sure you have the latest drivers for your video card.

If you're using wireless networking, you should try troubleshooting with a direct wired connection; we allow, but do not support the use of wireless network connections.

This article will show you how to get detailed information about the performance of your computer and the Second Life world Statistics Bar Guide

Re "Can't find a body part in the database" please see the link on the JIRA Home page

Missing/Lost Inventory? Go here

Object Missing From Database Error Message

If you get an "Object Missing From Database" error message when you rez an item from your inventory then sometimes the system notices this error and is able to automatically recover your missing object. However, in order to see if Second Life was able to recover your missing object, you will need to wait one hour, clear your cache as described in Clearing Second Life's cache , logout and then log back in and look in your Inventory Window to see if the item has reappeared.

I appear to be missing inventory that I know should be there. What do I do?

If this is still an issue please Submit a Ticket with Support for a response tailored to your individual situation see JIRA Home page

Thank you : )

I tried all this. It sometime helps for a few minutes, but then the problem reoccurs.
Another problem is that after clearing the cache loading the objects takes forever (I have very fast broadband).
All this stuff haven't happened before yesterday.

What I'm trying to say is that there is something seriously wrong going on with your database!!!
