The age-verified parcel restrictions have never worked reliably and are effectively being replaced by adult regions. Many people are confused by the apparent presence of two options to control access to parcels and regions:

Marking the region adult, the current option under the Adult Content guidelines.
Turning on age restriction on the parcel or region, the legacy option from 2007.

The result of this is that people are using both sets of restrictions when they really only need to use the adult region flag.

The legacy "age verified" restriction should be abandoned, removed from the server, or set to a purely advisory status.

All sorts of in-world pandemonium resulting right now due to this.

Age-verify ban lines, parcels, and so on. PioF lines and parcels. Adult lines and parcels...

and with so many people getting Aristotle bugs, its just too many conflicting options with too much room for error or confusion.

Also, many people with adult content falsely think that simply by making their parcel age-verified only, they are in compliance with the new rules. Private regions are flagging parcels, rather then the entire sim adult, and people on mature mainland think this covers them as well. It is simply adding to the confusion.

Pracel level restriction really doesn't make much sense either, since nothing stops (possible) minors from alt-caming in anyway. Doesn't seem like it's upholding anything. Best to always ensure adult content be kept at the region level, where it cannot even be rendered by those not able to access it.
