Please provide more information. Which island?
Since 1.18. I have had pb with tp. When I try to tp, I get "Connecting to region" then i am logged out. This happens from my region, and from another island with an alt account, as well as with my sister's PC and account - so not the region and not the processor. Both are Nvidia card,s one old with new drivers, one brand new Ge Force 7900.
Do you have any extremely complicated attachments, or tried to tp after removing all attachments?
I had no attachments at all, just the minimum clothes not to offend PG players.

 ) and not here as well.=> reopened I'm having the same problem and have since earlier today. I can't TP to anywhere. I'm STUCK on the original starting off island. No clue how this happened, as I was on a different island - hippiepay - when the game froze/crashed. Upon signing back in, I'm at the starting off island (The Azure Islands beginner island, don't remember the exact name) and now I cannot teleport anywhere. This has been going on since 5:15 PM CST today, and it's now 12:13 AM CST
NOTE: As I was typing up this post, I tried to teleport to another island and it let me there, Klub Khaos on Dartanian Island, and now I'm stuck there like I was before on the other island. Also, what's up with all the lag? Talking to people who are on the island and they are experiencing the lag issues as well. My Info: SL Version: 1.18, Win XP SP2, AMD 2Ghz, 2GB Ram, xDSL (950Kbps down/128Kbps up), Benq FP202W 21" Flat Panel Widescreen, 128 MB nVidia GeForce FX 5200, etc. Same problem here. Started around July 17th.
I can teleport anywhere within an island just fine. Takes about 3 seconds. Trying to teleport to Help Island 10 for example doesn't work any longer:
Try this several times, and eventually the avatar cannot move locally either, only turn. Must quit SL and relaunch. I have removed all attachments. I have nearly identical problem - after loading the sim on my XP machine on Sunday I started on the orientation island and I can't teleport anywhere. As far as I can tell I can only find the "help" island but when I have it on the map and teleport to it the screen goes black, the "loading" status bar is there and moving until it gets to about 1" away from the text and then it just sits there for about 60 seconds then it returns me back to exactly where i was standing on the orientation island before going to the world map to teleport. When I return there is a red arrow on the screen that appears to point me to the help island but i can't fly there.
i sure would like to see what else is out there. I have just the regular starting cloths on (although I changed colors) and have a few index cards I picked up on orientation island. My system is a 1.9ghz PC w/ 512mb ram and GeForece4 Ti 4600 card. I am on a comcast cable modem that is fantastic and has never failed me thus far. I was on the version that auto downloaded when I joined the sim Sunday 7/29 and then today I downloaded the new (1.18.1) tonight and I get the exact same results. Help Island 10 is NOT Public Access, so if you're not a Second Life Mentor, then what you're experiencing would likely be I can escalate this issue but require more substantial info as to under what conditions it happens for you. I am trying to transport to what appears to be a public place - the only reason I knew about it was because when I click on the menu bar and hit "in-world help" the dialog box has three options including the website, the orientation island, and the help island. If you click on help island it immediately brings up the world map and highlights help island at 124,124,16 and then I click teleport... and thus the issue documented above. If its any consolation the world map doesn't fill in at all (blocks) and I can't zoom on anything (its just blury). Nothing else is running on my machine other than AVG anti virus. It happens regardless of loading just after boot-up or if the machine has been on and I have a browser (firefox) running in back ground. I have removed the client and re-installed it now twice. I was reading some stuff and I have tried entering (in the world map) terms like sandbox and IBM and Gap into the search box and it returns nothing as well. I would love to get off of orientation island and see what is out there. @Justin: I'd like to help you leave Orientation Island too. What OI # are you on? (E.g., Orientation Island 11.)
To leave Orientation Island, you can't just teleport to anywhere though (this prevents people from getting lost if they're not sure what they're doing). And the Teleport button isn't grayed out for you? That's strange. Try facing South at the following coordinates (shown at the top of your screen): Orientation Island X (123, 125, 21). You'll see a big orange-teal HELP ISLAND sign. Click that for a landmark, then click "Teleport". Holy cow, its a miracle!
I don't know if this well help someone in follow up... tonight I was on OI 86 but I'm not sure that is where I have always been, but lets assume so. Previously when I clicked on the help for inworld from the menu the three choices came up: F1, orientation island, and help island. When ever clicking on orientation island it would land me right back in the middle of orientation island, and help island gave me the coordinates Help Island 124,124,26 that you said is not public. This makes sense (although it would be nice if it said "you can't go there) because my teleport button worked fine. I also couldn't figure out why I couldn't just double click on what parts of the map I could see, it turns out there must be the flag to keep you from teleporting (which makes sense unless you don't know about it). Whats interesting now is if I click on the in-word help and use the help island link it now takes me to a public help island since I have already been there and now I appear to be completely "unlocked" Its weird that out of everywhere I looked no documents mention you have to go to help island from orientation island in order to "clear" the no teleporting attribute, and the "in world help" menu item has a phrase that says "if you missed help island or want to refresh...." this would indicate you could skip help island. Since I can maneuver with ease I didn't see the point of going to help island. Therefore all my double clicking would not work. Well I am glad I am able to move on now. Thank you very much for the help!! problem still exists, upgrade to 1.18.2 does not help.
Funny: I was able to teleport 2 times three days ago, after that I had the same problem again Trying a second account on the same client: not working Fingus I've been unable to TP out of my home as well for over a month. Tried all the removing all attachments etc and re-installing the lastest client. Doesn't matter what computer I try to access from either, I still can't TP. As soo as I try to fly out of my home island, SL crashes. Weird.

ok... Lets see.. its been 2 & half weeks for me.. and i cant still teleport anywhere..
ANY ISLAND!! it keeps telling me i have been logged out and if I wish to continue and so on and so on... so am I supposed to crash everytime sit back and get no help?? Because i can not run business like this!! and no matter how many tickets i write it gets ignored.. So can someone plz tell me what exactly is goin on? cause i dont know!!! its been almost 3 weeks and its getting bad.. A little bit of help would be very appreaciated I think this problem (it still happening for you) would get more attention under
I am getting exactly the same issue as Fabulouz. Are you behind a firewall?
