 Description  « Hide
The land setting pane, under 'about land' labeled 'options' has some 'group' settings.

These settings seem to normally do nothing, even though a group is set.

In fact, they still really do nothing when a group owns the land as well, as the group defaults to having permission, just like the owner.

(was unable to find this silly old issue in the database)

Crissa, from the Knowledge Base article The About Land window

General Tab
Group: The group associated with the land. Click Set to change the group. Setting land to a group, but not fully deeding it, can help you control group members' ability to build there without allowing non-members to build.

Options Tab
Create Objects: If checked, allows for objects to be created and edited on the selected land by others. The owner can always create objects on their land. You can specify whether all Residents can do this, or the group selected in the General tab.

Object Entry: If checked, allows objects from other Residents to enter your parcel. You can specify whether all Residents can do this, or the group selected in the General tab

Run Scripts: If checked, allows scripted objects owned by others to run on your land. Leaving this unchecked can help prevent others from doing things like firing scripted weapons on your land. You can specify whether all Residents can do this, or the group selected in the General tab.

Please add some further information to this issue see JIRA issue posting guidelines - To submit a bug

6. Enter a detailed description of the issue, and be sure to include:

  • Steps (1,2,3...) to reliably reproduce the bug-- How to make the bug happen. If you cannot identify the specific steps, describe what seems to lead to the bug. Try to make this as simple as possible while still being specific enough to reproduce the bug. Simpler reproductions make it easier to narrow down the causes.
  • OBSERVED results (what happens when the bug occurs)
  • EXPECTED results (what behavior you would have expected instead)

For technical, time-sensitive and/or Region/Account specific issues please Submit a Ticket with Support as per JIRA Home page

Thank you : )
