Yes I do consider it a bug , though its not with software. Public sandboxes have never really been a "safe " place to be but things seem to constantly get worse and Im sure this will apply to other places , I just happen to build a lot in sandboxes. Example 1 , inability to permanantly remove someone that clearly wants to do nothing but grief. Over the past week linden sandboxes were being attacked on a large scale (porn particles,attempted viewer crash by dialog,replicating cubes bla bla never something new) , someone made a huge stack of accounts and kept returning every time he was banned and droping junk., he would come back every 30-40 mins or so ,myself and others reported every one that came along . This went on for a couple of days before he was properly removed.( I think he must of had a similar sleeping pattern to me because it didnt seem to stop). Example 2 , They cannot distinguish between the person attacking and the person filing abuse in many situations. This is a personal experience though I have heard several other examples of it , you dont really believe its happened till its happened to you . Upon Visiting sandbox extension within ten minuites i was being shot at , had no real effect as I had object interceptors so I just asked him to stop , He didnt so I said I would file an abuse report if he continued , he continued , to save bothering lindens with it I put a big non scripted standard cube on his space ship , I got an IM from his friend saying sorry and that he wont let it happen again , shooting stops I pick up the box and we all go on our merry way. Later on in the day I have gone up to quite a height so I have more space , while building for some time , quite engrossed theres suddenly a load of cages and blocks all over me and my build ( unfair use of sandbox resources , assault in a safe area and impeding movement of others)and I get a IM from the guy that was shooting me earlier saying " hahaha I win" (harrasment), I FILE AN ABUSE REPORT exactly how we are told to do , I tell him that I have done this so that if he is suspended then at least he knows why and a lesson has been learned , that just got him to send me abuse over IM (verbal abuse) and trying to goad me in to having a war in the public sandbox (instigating others to break ToS), I tell him Ill meet him in a combat zone to get rid of him and possibly the junk he rezzed on my build.during . Ill point out here that I HAD USED NO WEPONS OR ANY KIND OF ATTACK, I had quantum core object interceptors and that is all , these are totally for defence and do not have any attack powers , they just stop simple attacks which are most common in sandboxes by putting up small blocks around you.Nothing else was active or activated i know this for fact. 10 minuites later I AM SUSPENDED ! with the explanation from LL that it is because I have used scripted objects to attack others , which to put lightly is totally inaccurate . And heres the clincher...... THE GUY THAT ATTACKED ME WITH EVERYTHING HE HAD IS STILL IN WORLD !!!!! I am unable to put this lightly , G Team proved themselves here they are unable to distinguish between a resident trying to build and a dedicated griefer. They have totally failed to do their job , I have contacted LL and requested that they atleast tell me the name of the scripted object that they falsly accuse me of using ... so far .. as expected ... they declined .... strange that. If your wondering why so many things are in brackets those are the ToS that the attacker broke, count them its about 6-7 I think , now count mine........ Im sure there are many other examples , you should be able to post them here because apparently G Team is totally unbiast.....hmmmmmm , well Ive stuck my neck out , lets see how long I last when I dare speak out about against the corperation. Suggestions I have to fix the problem; Have genuine second life residents in the team , not just university graduates that dont know how to rez a cube. Have one person on at all times that simply goes around (patroling if you like)from sim to sim (public ones that are vunerable) Not just to deter griefers but to return things from sandboxes that are abandoned ,huge or for sale (another common problem) .this would vastly improve all sandbox as the mess really gets in the way and clogs your resources ,there could even be a sort of hotline button in the sandboxes to get them in and remove major griefers ( needs more depth I know).I need a job let me do it ! Train these People , ok so they got degrees , so what ? things are different here. I do believe this is the result of one bad egg in the g team and not a reflection of all members as sometimes things get sorted very quickly ,atleast one person though is going through their abuse reports without any thought whatsoever , probably not even reading them and clicking the first ban button they see so they can go out for a cigarette.
