Another resident was building a large build on my sim on my behalf. When we needed to transfer ownership of the build to me we decided instead of linking everything (as it was two thousand prims set very far apart and this would be cumbersome to do) I would simply set the land the build was on to sale to him and then have him sell it back to me with transfer of object owner enabled. This worked successfully and I became owner of the entire build which was comprised of approximately 80 individual linksets.
When editing the linksets I discovered that for some reason only the root prim reads as owned by me, while all child prims are set to the previous owner still. If one of the child prims is unlinked I am no longer capable of doing anything with it as I'm no longer its owner. Please see the attached images for more information.
"Rootset" is the linkset showing the root prim, and I am correctly shown as owner, while Lordfly is the creator. "Child" shows an child prim that's being inspected while still attached to the linkset, which now shows both owner and creator to be Lordfly. "Unlinked" shows that prim now unattached from the linkset and owned/created by Lordfly.
Rezzing a linkset in another sim correctly restores ownership to me, but as the current build is a significant sim-wide composition this is unfortunately not a possible solution to move to another sim and then restore.
SVC-369I believe just bringing them into inventory and re-rezzing them will correct them, no need to take them to another sim.
