Tried again after getting the region attached to the OGP Beta test grid and testing. Produced the same results with a direct login to the standalone server.

Got this to work

To do this I created a new user on the opensim console with home coordinates of the Linden Map (mine are: 10240,10240),

then I overwrote the default master avatar name in the Regions/default.xml file with the new user info, removing extra references to sim id's. *I think the orginal user for opensim setup becomes useless as it's home coordinates are non-existant with the OGP patch.

The region x and y here should already be set (if you have just installed OpenSim for the first time and entered your proper coords when prompted)

This should allow you to enter the sim from a local or non OGP client and do things like ground textures and control the terraforming etc..

This had worked for me with no real problems when using SQLite, but fails consistently with MySQL. Perhaps it is the missing db "source" [I presume initializatoin of tables] with MySQL?
