I know this is an old issue and probably often reported, but apparently not enough to get it FIXED.
POINTED QUESTION: What is it about a sim crossing that is so difficult that people lag, freeze, fly off into nowhere and crash on a regular basis?
I mean, it's a transfer of data from one system to another across a network. So what's the issue that after YEARS of this problem existing, it still hasn't been fixed?
I didn't notice it so much because up until recently we only had 2 sims. But now with 4 sims and crossing sim boundaries regularly, this border crossing issue is a real pain.
NUTHER POINTED QUESTION: How can Linden Lab allow this problem to continue and not hang their head in shame. Man, any other company had this kind of data transfer problem go on for years without their CTO fixing it... heads would roll. IMO there's just no excuse for such poor sim edge crossing performance. Talk about a top-priority issue...
