 Description  « Hide
As reported by several people in VWR-6102, at the beginning of april linden trees in different location changed their kind. Maple trees suddenly changed in appearance to Oak Trees, Pines change to maple.
It seem to be no viewer problem, the tree objects themself seem to have changed.

I add pictures from before and after the change, the "sick" tree can be found at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Akhsharumova/19/198/60

You should add a link to WEB-566 on VWR-6102 to have it moved to SVC instead of opening a duplicate issue

This happened to me too - I had Tree - 12' Fir in several locations and 3 days ago they were changed to 12Palms instead. The ones in my inventory are changed also. These are Linden trees, btw, not made by a private individual.

Looking at trees.xml in the 1.20 Release Candidate I see Maple is missing, but going back in time, it looks like it was never listed

Seems not to be a widespread problem, just one of the database mysteries that happen every day.

The problem still exists in the data base in that also maple trees have also disappeared from library folder of objects, trees as if they never were the bottom line is still have thrings that were maple that now look like oaks, and te fix solutions didnt work. Still have trees labeled as maple that appear as oak and no longer in my lbrary period though still have one in normal inventory as maple.

I think it's long past time that we were able to define our own trees. Linking to VWR-303.

This is happening in Huntsman sim on the Southern continent too -- big green ponderosas turning into little brown oaks, on parcels owned by at least three different people. Everything in the edit window shows as it should... their measurements and names are still as they should be. But they're rendering as oaks.

Ponderosas freshly rezzed from the library seem fine, and previously rezzed ones that were never edited beyond moving them around seem fine. But older ones that had been stretched to greater heights seem to all have been transformed into oaks. Since this is a woodland sim that was once almost half a dense and tall ponderosa forest, replacing all the buggy one with fresh trees manually is NOT going to be fun.
