>> Lex: What kind of hovering?
Lex, I wish I knew. The items I'm having trouble with are not items I created, but items I bought. I have contacted the vendors to let them know. I wanted to give The Lindens a heads-up on it, also. Sorry, I should have been clearer on that in my original report. Same photo's attached to SVC-1272. Surf boards now are underwater....
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You are at 270740.0, 305707.7, 21.0 in Tsunami Beach located at sim2527.agni.lindenlab.com (216.82.18.24:13018) Similar problem with a physics disc transport system when stopping movement to perform animation.
Solution use llHover with setting 2 metres above actual position, avie and disk do not now sink through the floor. This is a work around not a solution. I'm not fully sure which pool table this is, but based on the description I suspect it is one I have looked at in the last few days or very much like it with similar symptoms. The script was set up not accounting for some fixes... This is really two separate bug reports, so I'm closing this one as won't finish...
The surfboard issue has been discussed with Heather Goodliffe (assuming again that it's one of hers, since she scripts for many vendors), and has released an update for Havok4. If these are not appropriate resolutions, please open a separate jira for each issue - much harder to track when they're tied together in one. Thanks! Sidewinder This is not a fix, I still have physics disks that sink and can only be worked around by sending them higher in the air.
I am not satisfied that any fix has been produced and would like somebody to fix it or contact me to tell me what I am doing wrong, if it is wrong. No matter what change you make to a physics system having items with a buoyancy of 1 sinking cannot be right and making all items run 2 metres clear of the ground is not a solution. They now do not sink because I have set them high with a long period to settle. The pool table is Bosozoku Kato's billiards table. The surfboards were made by Ruok Rokko. Both items were purchased and the creators aren't really around to make an updated version. I understand that some legacy items may just have to be replaced. Thanks for investigating this issue.
Jay, I'm not a physics scripter, but your point seems valid. Objects with a buoyancy of 1 shouldn't sink, should they? Following instruction given by Sidewinder Linden above have lodged a new JIRA report with supporting script (SVC-2310)

and i now have the answer: phantom prims will sink below ground and now havok 4 has found my phantoms . . . https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-1762
