 Description  « Hide
Wearing:

Mystitool 1.0.21
Omicron 1.4
Huddle 1.1.3
Amethyst slimline embedded lock collar (Latest Version)

when I TP from a Havok 1 sim to a Havok 4 sim or Havok4 to Havok1 with either myself or my alt my collar stops working 100% of the time.

The Mystitool or Omicron can also stop working, but not 100% of the time like the collar.

[21:31] You: hey dude, is my collar around my neck?
[21:31] Kyo Rogozarski: nope, u got no hair also
[21:33] You: ok, look at my butt, do you see my hair or collar there?
[21:34] Kyo Rogozarski: no
[21:34] You: do I have shoes on?
[21:34] Kyo Rogozarski: 1
[21:34] You: 1 shoe
[21:34] Kyo Rogozarski: yes
[21:34] You: a belt?
[21:34] Kyo Rogozarski: yes
[21:34] You: ok, thanks

To my eyes though I see the hair on and collar in place and two shoes on.

The collar shows as attached in my inventory, I am unable to detach it.
The hair shows as attached in my inventory, I am unable to detach it, however if I attach different hair it appears at my 0,0,0
The collars touch and listen scripts are not working
All other devices are working

The main Havok4 sim I tested in had zero people in it, there are 39,000 odd people online, late Monday night SL time.
Have also tested on Sunday afternoon with 59,000 people online. No difference.

When I relog, without attaching anything all the missing parts reappear:

[21:43] Kyo Rogozarski slaps your ruthed butt
[21:43] You: hair on?
[21:43] Kyo Rogozarski: yea
[21:43] You: collar?
[21:44] Kyo Rogozarski: yea
[21:44] You: two shoes?
[21:44] Kyo Rogozarski: yea

I have tested My home (Region: Neverland 2 H1) to Armidi (H4)
Armidi to Aitui (H1)
My home (H1) to my sandbox (Region: Erin H4)
My sandbox (H4) to my Home (H1)

No special steps are needed to reproduce, but all items need to be worn. Taking any one of the four items off will stop this problem being reproducable.

It seems to be the number of scripts or prims that I am carrying.

The TP seems to take no longer than usual. There is no noticable lag. Region FPS is 45.

Have bumped this up to normal and linked in the related issues as there seem to be a few alike issues.

Sean Heying added a comment - 11/Feb/08 10:42 PM
Changed from Bug to Meta Issue to link the various items I found together.

The Nicholaz Edition viewer fixes the attachment problem for me. I can tp anywhere now without my hair and shoes getting stuck in my butt. Before, I would have to set network to 200 before I tp. My huds stay in place also. Can Linden viewer not be made to do this also?

Sean Heying added a comment - 18/Feb/08 01:02 PM
I have verified the Nicholaz Asstachments patch in http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-374 and this does not solve this problem.

I still have a 100% failure from H4 to H1.

One cause of this is too many prims attached, I know the limit is around 1000 but have not been able to pin it down. I have had to detach several of my items and the breaking reduces or stops. This also happens between havok 1/havok 1 regions.

Sean Heying added a comment - 03/Apr/08 09:16 PM
This problem has not cleared with the grid's deployment to Havok4. Wearing the Omicron and Mystitool and teleporting between 2 x 1.20.0.83892 regions caused the mystitool to stop working. I am raising the priority to Critical as it also causes hair and other prim attachments to drop off to the eyes of other people.

Work around at the moment is not to wear the Omicron when you teleport.

Probally can close this now as there is no H1 servers anymore and we are globally all now H4.

Still happens H4 to H4 (ie: after the rollout) Editing the subject to make that clear.

My husband Hank Rucker has noticed this problem has reappeared for him today (Mon Apr 21, 2008). He usually wears Mystitool, an AO, that "Core" thing (I'm not into weapons, sorry) maybe a couple others, plus hair of course.

His info:
CPU: AMD (Unknown model) (2613 MHz) [dual core]
Memory: 3072 MB
OS Version: Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (Build 2600)
Graphics Card Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
Graphics Card: GeForce 8800 GTX/PCI/SSE2/3DNOW!
OpenGL Version: 2.1.2
LLMozLib Version: [LLMediaImplLLMozLib] - 2.01.14582 (Mozilla GRE version 1.8.1.13_0000000000)

<i>Why am I posting this and not him? Because I'm the one that can navigate Jira ...</i>

Strangest thing happened today. There appears to be a (unacceptable) fix to this!

I had recently TP'd and everything on me was broken, however... as soon as I was invited to a group everything on me came alive! I have been able to recreate this!

EVERY time I Teleport. Random attachments stop functioning and or become invisable to others.

My hair will disapear to others, while being visable to me.
My AO Hud will stop functioning, my AO Animations no longer work. But the AO HUD still shows up on my screen, through clicking on the HUD no longer brings up the menu..
My Combat Meter will look to me as though it is loaded, But others in the Combat Area complain that I do not have it running.
I could have all three HUDs I use normally loaded and working fine, Log out for the night. The next day I log in and all my HUD attachments need to be reattached all over again.
Any item that seems to be affected by this can NOT be detached, If you try to load a new object on the same attachment point you get an error.

This has been happening for the last two or three weeks and is getting worse and worse every day.

Computer Info:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4ghz
MEM: 4096gb
OS: Wincows Vista Ultimate x64, SP1 Integrated.
GFX: nVidia GeForce 8800 GT 512MB DDR3

Joining a group by hand or even just changing groups (which causes your poofers to poof normally) does not work around, I have not been able to try someone else sending a group invitation.

This is still 100% reproducible.

Gino, please be aware that this Jira is a PG rated resource. Angst and swearing will not make the Lindens fix this, all it does it put your foul language into the watcher's emai and you at a risk of an ARl.

Until a reliable easily reproducable reproduction can be be proved this problem will be very hard to track down.

Until that happens, unless you can be productive, detach a HUD at a time, testing which scripted device you are carrying causes it for you.
