 Description  « Hide
There is a problm with the prims couting in the Cars. I have been rezzing a car with 29 prims only and me driving it. when a person sits in the car it goes that this car can only contain a maximum of 32 prim.
the exact message is "M.H Galla52 Black Edition 2.0: Script can't enable physics for objects with more than 32 primitives" and once it keeps repeating itself. Even when both drivers stand up the car seems to behave like a 32prim + item

Repro:
Setup:
You will need a 2 passenger vehicle that uses exactly 30 prims, and 2 avatars.
1) First Avatar sits on the vehicle and beings to pilot it
2) Second Avatar sits on vehicle, bringing prim count above 32
3) First avatar stands, and then sits back down.
As vehicle attempts to activate, it will produce a script error.

Until the vehicle is taken into inventory and re-rezzed, it will report having more than 32 prims any time it attempts to go physical.

Alexa, this is an issue with link counting/ordering. If enough people sit on the vehicle to bring it's link count past 32, then, they get up in the same order that they sit down, the vehicle code appears to think that there are still too many links. I'm guessing it may be going by link Number of last link (And not renumbering links on link change) rather than actual number of links.

I didn't see this problem, but noticed a worse issue.

The problem I noticed was really bad, however. The car flipped up on it's side as soon as I sat down, so I'll investigate that. Its a really nice car, btw.

The problem with avatar/prim counts has been fixed. Andrew Linden fixed the bad behavior where the car would flip up onto it's nose as well.

Due to timing, this won't be in the next version of havok we push out (which should be really soon). That already has been built and is in QA testing, so this fix has to wait for the following build/test/push live.
