 Description  « Hide
[Edited by CrystalShard Foo: This problem is happening due to SVC-1073 . Please post your votes and comments there - fixing that issue will fix the Rez-Foo. There's no need to split this problem over several Jira posts per product]

items packaged with rez-foo object packager no longer function under havock 4. This applies to items packaged in havock 1 or havock 4 environments.
Items packaged under havock 1 work in havock 1 sims, and those packaged under havock 4 work in havock 1.

Items in package just rez at package position and do not move.
I have a sample package created at Sugarland 94,219,25
Its just a bunch of cubes rezzed in random order. You may have to buy a copy for 0L for testing
Rez the package, click it - choose rez
It will seem as if nothing happens, but move the cube.

Go to havock 1 sim (i used hyun for testing)
rez same box
touch it and click rez
what you see in havock1 is what's supposed to happen.

I submite this issue because of the widespread impacts it will have on the builders in SL. I personally have over 100 builds that use this and will be broken upon the rollout of havock 4 to the grid. I know of many other builders that will have this same issue (about 30) and all clients with builds using this will be experiencing this as well. I know i sold alot of homes using this script.

This is down to the scripter, i have my own creation like rez-foo and it works fine, but as you say alot of people use it already so ill vote for this

This problem is happening because of SVC-1073 - llGetStartParameter() always returns 0 in Havoc4 enabled simulators.

well i didnt open this issue for my benefit, but mainly the benefit of SL as a whole. For all those builders that use rez-foo, they will have a customer relations nightmare, but for me i finally needed a reason to repack all my builds in my custom rezzer which works fine under havock 4.

Many builders make a good income off their builds and by breaking positioning scripts, well this could get ugly ... very very quickly

Billie is correct. Rez Foo builds simply will not rez into position.

Edited to explain the reason this problem is happening.

Resolved as a duplicate, technically it is not a duplicate of SVC-1073 but will be fixed by the the resolution of that issue.

I have the same problems with a) rez faux and b) jack in the box and with huge prims rezzing still fails totally also with normal sized prims. Both sellers have a very bad support and a) dont respond to inquiries or b) are never online to give help. Not recommendable!
If any of you knows a rezzer who works perfect with havok 4 please IM me inworld or drop me a notecard with a landmark where i can get it. Thanks

@JaneD - This particular issue was caused by a specific bug, SVC-1073. You should open a new issue for your problem, though likely the only way it will be fixed is by the seller.
