NOTE: I am unable to select version 1.18.5(3) from the AFFECTS VERSION list because it's not listed there. But this has been occuring on multiple versions.
I am able to move about the sim, IM, SEARCH and rez objects.
However, at a rate of 3 out of 10 teleports - the teleportation will fail. The steps to recreate:
0) be going about business, IMing friends, etc. Optionally enabled CTRL-SHIFT-V (makes no difference - not that I expected it to)
1) call up landmark from INVENTORY and double click to teleport or
1a) open up MAP and double click an area to teleport to
2) the screen will change to black with the progress bar and only the words "SECOND LIFE." There might or might not be the CANCEL button in the bottom right corner.
3) In waiting for the progress bar to do something, get the message "You have been disconnected from the Simulator you were in." and are given the option to CONTINUE so the IM's and messages can be read, or QUIT to quit the application. The background changes to the background of the sim, with no objects and no avatars around - truly cut off from the world.
3a) Pressing the CANCEL button also takes you to a background of the sim terrain, with no buildings/objects and avatars around.
4) Quit application and log back in immediately. The login attempt will fail - and you'll receive the message "the simulator is logging you out now," which means that the simulator you were in didn't disconnect you. Residents who are present around you while teleport failed will confirm that you never left when you say you did - and did crash and come back within moments.
What is CTRL-SHIFT-V supposed to do?
