hmm. I really think rthese two meta issues should be coalesced into one. Meta Issue: Groups

especially given that quite a few of these have nothing to do with chat/Im.And quite a few more are duplicates of one another.

If you're going to create a meta issue, you should take the trouble to weed out duplicates, and use only the best of any duplicate set. And alsdo to remove resolved issues.

Removed ~~VWR-838~~ and ~~VWR-1409~~ (resolved) and ~~VWR-1528~~ (closed). Also removed VWR-48 (not IM/chat related), ~~VWR-1546~~ (delay redundancy), ~~VWR-1342~~ (voice chat, not IM related), and ~~VWR-1297~~ (more redundancy).

Added: VWR-1420 (patch for unreadable IMs in chat history), ~~VWR-1122~~ (IM window changing size), ~~VWR-240~~ (japanese character input support), VWR-199 (DEBUG_CHANNEL bug), ~~VWR-375~~ (possible G5 issue), VWR-300 (say/shout ranges), VWR-786 (IMs not respecting offline status), VWR-1149 (MotD on IM), VWR-1348 (Chat while busy), VWR-1144 (IM customization), ~~VWR-1097~~ (Chat history not saved), VWR-1441 (IM button), ~~VWR-1578~~ (is typing bug).

Really, most of the major group issues are better covered by the group meta-issue MISC-387 (such as MISC-64: mute group IMs) as well as dozens of other dupes floating around. Group chat's slow, often breaks. We know. I recommend closing this meta-issue down if more IM/Chat-centric issues don't start popping up, as the Chat/IM category has very little spill-over.

Changed to showstopper. This issue needs immediate attention. This goes on way too long already. This is affecting business and groups are essential for SL's economy and business owners that rely on services.

Darkmoon, did you mean to set one of the specific sub-issues as showstopper? the meta issue itself shouldn't be a showstopper but the individual issues contained within very well should be if warrented. The meta issue is just a grouping of other issues.

Not changing priority back myself per sanctions.

Changing priority to normal. Gordon is right; meta-issues should not be classified as showstoppers; individual issues should.
