Story, i dont think its good to show up any millimeter of will to move to Ursula. Remember how much do have a business somewhere on mainland and LL tries to force the movement, a lot of economic power gets lost after.
Islands are still to expensive and i dont want to spent conceited asses (my experience with some) a free extra charge to their tier fees! > Its as i stated at the other thread; if it could be that what it means, it is then exactly what they want! If all of us who have or sell or use adult stuff leave SL the grid is fastly cleaned and LL is able to change SL to their whole needs! We must hurt them where it does hurt most significant; at the pocket! Fight or conversion! So far better still to stay and let your adult things going on. how about rephrasing this as somthing like "make the move to Ursula optional but still free, and remove the threat of ARs due to subjective content rating in mature sims" ?
Ursula isnt a option for me. And not a possiblity.
the way i wrote implies you are given the option to not move without fearing ARs, and still let other people move for free if they for whatever reason want to
Storyof Oh:
"Maybe what we should be asking for is the guarantee of a 'free swap' down the line if we find our businesses cannot operate within the strict or 'iffy' rules." This is an excellent idea. I'm not really sure resisting the forced march to Ursula is necessarily a good idea. Given the vagueness of the proposed regulations it might be better to move there voluntarily just to avoid the inevitable Disneyfication of the rest of the grid.
I can forsee the griefer groups using this to set up AR hunts already. To say nothing of the various busybodies and 'civic-minded' types that exist and seem to have nothing better to do with their time than try to find things to be offended by. It seems to me that the way this is set up now the best solution would be to increase the size of Ursula by something close to an order of magnitude because if this is ramrodded ( as seems most likely ) a large percentage of us are going to end up there just to be able to talk without sounding like Ned Flanders. this content is taken from https://support.secondlife.com/ics/support/KBAnswer.asp?questionID=6010
in which "Where adult content or conduct on a Region is publicly advertised or promoted, that Region must be designated as Adult (or such content must be removed). We will re-designate such Regions if adult content is not removed. ' Therefore businesses or individuals whose content may be mature or even PG can have their sim reclassified to adult if even only ONE other tenant on that sim goes adult. This could lead to a new way of griefing an entire sim. |

Those that are refused free moves initally or don't think they need apply for one 'ought' to qualify if they cannot continue successfully 'as is' and start getting AR's.
Time will tell but if pornoland doesn't turn out to be laggy or barren then a free swap should still be allowed as these are certainly factors concerning people. We just dont know how many gamers end up still unverified...it could be minority.
Worse case scenario is the mature landowner with a field one month then after the upheaval decides to build a sex club...gets AR'ed...decides to finally move....find pornoland full or cant afford the premium land prices....what then? Especially as the land was originally bought with an 'almost anything goes' tag...
If LL are considering REFUSING free swaps the message is...'your store is mature and you are now stuck with a mild/pg type content and any thoughts of expansion/diversification are out the window' ...unless you dig deep into your pockets......
