 Description  « Hide
I changed pants for a patriotic party, and they're white. In fact, the entire lower half of my avatar's body is white. Doesn't matter WHAT pair of pants I put on

It looks likely that you have an NVIDIA graphics card with version 177, or later, drivers.

There are known avatar rendering issues for these driver versions:

  • VWR-7957 (Clothing skinning error on nVidia)
  • VWR-9358 (Texture rendering problem Nvidia 178.13 release drivers)

The following workaround has been reported:

  • Enable the Advanced Menu (Ctrl-Alt-D)
  • Disable rendering of Palletized Textures (Ctrl-Alt-F7, or Advanced/Rendering/Features/Palletized Textures)
  • Rebake (Ctrl-Alt-R)

This bug is fixed in 1.22 RC1 and later (available from http://www.secondlife.com/downloads, under "Test Viewers")
