 Description  « Hide
A lot of new residents on the Orientation Islands achieve to detach their OIHUD either by will or by accident. They almost always want it back, as they need it to proceed to help Island. This is not much of a problem if a Linden or Volunteer is there to help them get it back, but that is not always the case. As it's probably impossible to avoid the detaching (object's can't me made undetachable, as far as I know and new residents are used from other applications to right-click things to see what happens) it should be reattached whenever it gets detached while the Resident is still on Orientation Island. This could be achieved for example by another HUD prim which is invisible (so can't be detached until [crtl][alt][T] is pressed) with a script in it that will take care of reattaching the OIHUD when needed.

Alternatively the script could tell them something like "You detached the Orientation Island Tutorial Window. If you still are on Orientation Island you will need it to proceed to Help Island. If you want to get it back, follow the steps at http://secondlife.com/knowledgebase/article.php?id=398".

Resolving as won't finish due to this OI being phased out. See: http://vteamblog.com/2008/08/01/hi-is-the-new-black-officially/

McCabe is correct, so I'm closing this issue now.
