 Description  « Hide
When i wear certain clothes i see my feet go white and the bottom of the jeans/trousers go white. When i wear certain shirts my hands go white or the colour off the shirt. I have tried another release going back to Second Life 1.20.17 (98669) Oct 5 2008 10:25:42 (Second Life Release) and the same thing happens as with the current viewer. I do not know if anybody else has encountered this problem but its more of an annoyance than anything else
Thanks Stato Meredith.

Hello Stato,

There are known issues with the Nvidia graphic card. See VWR-9358 ("Texture rendering problem Nvidia 178.13 and above release drivers") or VWR-7957 ("Clothing skinning error on nVidia").

Please add your comments there, and vote. Both issues are under Linden Labs attention.

A workaround is to disable rendering of Palletized Textures:

  • Enable the Advanced Menu (Ctrl-Alt-D)
  • Disable rendering of Palletized Textures (Ctrl-Alt-F7, or Advanced/Rendering/Features/Palletized Textures)
  • Rebake (Ctrl-Alt-R)

You might want to try the latest Release Candidate of the 1.22 viewer. You can download it from http://www.secondlife.com/downloads -> Test Viewers
