 Description  « Hide
My clothing that I made are not appearing correctly as the way i made them, Everything on my body that is not a prim compeltly gets covered in my jacket's texture. No defining lines or anything, just a massive paint over.

The issue is still Bugged when trying to create new clothing. The texture compeltly covers your entire body and does not change when you edit the paremeters. I rebaked the textures several times and it still does not work. I've been told it takes months before fixing it self, and I can't have it since I go to contests alot. Other clothing items given to me by other people appear corectly, however. I just can not make my own clothing anymore untill the issue fixes itself or if it's fixed.

Kiros, if you have a Nvidia graphics driver from the 177 & 178 series, the main issues are VWR-7957 & VWR-9358. Please add your vote and comments to those issues.

The workaround for 177 series drivers is to

enable the Advanced Menu Ctl > Alt > D

disable rendering palletized textures: rendering > features > palletized textures Ctl - Alt - F7

and then rebake Ctl - Alt - R

You can also revert to Nvidia 175.19 drivers to see if this resolves your issue.

Thank you

The work aroudn worked so far, I'll keep this upaded if it continues, I have voted on teh other two. Sicne one of them is almsot indenticle to my issue, (My updated driver was a prority for the other games I play, and the card is an SLI bridged 600 dollar piece of hardware O.o)

It looks likely that you have an NVIDIA graphics card with version 177 or 178 drivers.

There are known avatar rendering issues for these driver versions:

  • VWR-7957 (Clothing skinning error on nVidia)
  • VWR-9358 (Texture rendering problem Nvidia 178.13 release drivers)
  • VWR-8261 (With some clothes, viewer renders buttocks and legs totally white)

The following workaround has been reported:

  • Enable the Advanced Menu (Ctrl-Alt-D)
  • Disable rendering of Palletized Textures (Ctrl-Alt-F7)
  • Rebake (Ctrl-Alt-R)

I'm marking this issue as a duplicate.

Please look at VWR-7957, VWR-9358 and VWR-8261 and add your comments/vote to whichever you feel most closely matches your issue.
If, you feel this is NOT the same as either of these issues, please re-open it using the link on the left, and add a comment explaining why.
