Second Life Crashes the Nvidia driver

I can open second life, log on, play for a little while, then all of a sudden I get a blank screen, and I get a message "display driver has stopped working and has successfully recovered". I have read it might be a TDR (Timeout Detection and Recovery error message) problem. Was wondering if you can make a patch to fix this problem because second life is unplayable for me. My system is a core 2 quad 2.66 ghz, 4 gigs of ddr2 800, xfx 9800 gtx in sli. My computer can handle the game with no problems. But the game just crashes whenever it feels like it and I am getting annoyed that this problem has been going on for years and has not been fixed. Would you be able to test the game with this graphics card to make an update for it to make it playable? Friends play this game with no problems and when I log on and am typing to them or just sitting there, the game will freeze then I will get a black screen and then I will be at the desktop and get the message display driver has stopped working and has successfully recovered. It only happens with this game. I can play crysis on high settings, half life 2 on max settings, guild wars on max settings, and none of those games give me problems. No blank screens and display driver issues. My driver is the latest one to come out for the xfx 9800 gtx which is the 177.79 version. So my drivers are up to date. All other games are playable but for some reason this game just decides to crash whenever it wants to. Also when the game crashes and I double click on the second life desktop icon it asks me if I would like to send a crash report and I do, so I don't know if you can look that up, if that would help you fix the game for me. If you can get this problem solved that would be great, if you can't then second life is unplayable to me.
