With the new road JIRA hopefully moving forward (MISC-602) I'd like to propose that we make all Linden Roads parcels "rezzable." Keep the auto-return on, as this won't affect vehicles, but let us rez our vehicles on the roads themselves.

Or there could also be a small "lot" every sim or two where people can rez.

Good idea though.

Maybe you did notice that all the Linden land has often different settings. They would need an employee which does nothing else than normalize these settings the whole day. This person could implement your proposal as well.

They could allow rez on Linden Road Parcels, with a very short auto-return. Long enough to rez a vehicle and sit on it.

If we want this to be realized, maybe we shoudl collect some money for Linden to pay this new employee

I suggest that the roads have build available to all people, but auto-return be set to 10 or so seconds. This will allow enough time to rez and attach a vehicle.

Just an update: The Linden DPW is making rez points at the edge of sims along roads. So you're only half a sim away from a rez point along the built road now. However, where no road is built, you still have to hunt for a parcel that allows you to rez.

So this issue doesn't count as closed just yet....

I have been touring the two main continents of SL and have not found these designated rez points. I did find two somewhere on Heterocetra, but that is all I have ever seen and I've been all over the place. Would it be possible to allow rezzing on the road but for it to auto return if you don't drive it in 20 seconds? Whenever I stop to look at something interesting I come back and find someone has nicked my bus .

I provide 5 mainland rez points and also give free maps showing the protected routes at the locations. In the filing cabinet you will find notecards with lists of LMs all around the mainlands of places you can rez. Some are resident owned places and are out of date, but some are also Linden owned. There are loads of Linden rez points on Satori, Heterocera has quite a few too.

The mainland protected routes at Jeogeot are in the process of having roads installed and some of the sims there have rez points now. Sansara doesn't have many Linden places, but I have found most of them I think.

Please note that I have other projects which also take up my time, so updating the LM sets is quite far down the list. Some of the maps I have made myself and also update them as I find new information. I do all this for free, so no moaning please lol.

Here is the link to my LM box on XstreetSL: https://www.xstreetsl.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=1435592

Check out my profile in-world and look for the group "Greenlaners" if you want updates about the maps and other information relevant to exploring these routes. I do not use the group for product spam either, it's all about encouraging people to explore these routes and educating people about them.

Drive safe!
