Several new systems have sprung up recently claiming to "legally" allow gambling in Second Life despite the announcement banning it. Usually the method is purchasing some amount of a fake currency with L$ that is used to play the games, and then in various methods that fake currency can be translated back into L$ after you're done playing at the casino. These systems advertise themselves with dubious claims that they have been approved by Linden Lab or Lindens are playing them as well. They also employ extensive grid-wide/forum-wide/IM-wide spamming to get the word out. As these methods will clearly not go away any time soon I believe the best course of action is for another announcement clarifying whether or not these currency substitution loopholes are legitimate or ensure LL follows through on their promises to ban these establishments.
