Since the upgrade on 1/31/07 Most of my inventory is missing. Can I expect it back?

One additional piece of info on this missing inventory. It shows up on my laptop when I log in, but is missing from my tower when I log in. My laptop cannot handle SL very well, so I prefer to use my tower.
