Linden Lab Issue ID: SL-33937

 Description  « Hide
I rented property in Gimchi and after about a week decided to move to another lot next door. I picked up all my objects and checked in the inventory to make sure they were there. When I moved to the other place, I began to place the objects on to the land and they all said "failed to rezz". I did this with 3 of my objects, and not only are those 3 objects, but all the objects that I had picked up from my previous property. I contacted the landlady/property owner and she doesnt know what happened to my objects. I paid many lindens for these and I expect to have them returned or to be reimbursed in some way.

The objects are as follows:

Bed:
Fireplace
Potted plant
Sectional couch
Silver lamp
coffee table
candles
rug
plant
piano
bar
bottle of tequila
Abstract tapestry art
beach umbrella
lounger (oak)

Also, when I looked at the transaction history...things I have purchased in the last few days have not shown up. The includes the bed, the fireplace, the lounger, the umbrella, and the magnolia plant....even though the L$ have been deducted for these items. The objects below are the ones that I am missing and the transanction history is available:

Vanya – sorry to hear of your inventory loss problems. We're aware of this issue – instances of objects disappearing from a Resident's Inventory when they fail to rez inworld.

The additional following info would be helpful if you can provide it, please:

  • Asset UUIDs of items (unlikely based on what you said, but on the off-chance you have additional copies, right-click an item in your Inventory and "Copy Asset UUID").
  • The date and time (PST) you lost these objects and the exact coordinates you were standing at. (Found at the top of the screen in the middle of the menu bar.) Also, sim number – Help menu > About Second Life and look for where it says simXXXX. This info is time-sensitive so if this happened yesterday, please provide it ASAP.

I'm going to reference this public issue # from our internal issue tracker. This means you'll be in a queue for further investigation.

Stale transaction history is a known issue too, please see: http://blog.secondlife.com/2007/01/26/transactional-data-updated/

I have some inventory problems too, I can't seem to wear many of my clothes, they fail to load (I get a message telling me to contact the vendor), many folders are unusable.
These problems have started after I logged back to find a different avatar, the shape and clothes I was wearing had disapeared. I do not know if this is related but I found myself unable to take the content of boxes or buy items (whenever others could). I am able to receive objects from others though.
Hope I was not too messy in my description.

Seems you have the same problem like me....
Since weeks I am just able to rezz my objects from invent on UNCOVERED ground
Building in sky is nearly impossible cause no covered "land" or "grass" is available.

not beeing able to rezz out of invent in a building seems a problem i have myself
and many told me to have the same.
If I drag out of invent on covered ground, the "+" appears at the arrow,
but while "dropping" I always get this errormessage: failed place blabla, try again....
I tested in diffrent angles, not possible!

Now i use following trick :
first copy the item in invent,
then "wear"
then "drop"
to get it out of invent.

I reported this bug nearly every day, no response...

ig anyone has a solution....
would be glad to hear

thanks Lunata

I have inventory problems
You toldd us you are aware of it... good...
And, someday, maybe next life, will we aware of a solution, we the customers....
We have to tell you where and when objects disapear from the invent ? But anywhere, it didn't depend of us, it depend of you that the objects disapear.
if you database systems is always broken, why don't you change it ? Hoooo you are trying to ? hummm let me guess, the database admin first work is mecanician ? the database analyst where sailor ? and the project manager is not already back from holiday ?
one more thing, if you where working in a bank or something like that, you wheren't working anymore...
Curtomers service, at Linde, is less than nothing

Why don't you give us a tool allowing us to do backups of OUR stuff ?
Or do you prefer to crashed down people as you use to do ?
